“The thing’s hollow—it goes on forever—and—oh my God!—it’s full of stars!”

Inspired by '2001: A Space Odyssey' (both, the novel by Arthur C. Clarke and the movie by Stanley Kubrick, 1968) and based on some frames from the film, this is my interpretation of what each monolith sounds like. Image to sound conversion using an image-based synthesizer and experimental sound editing. Music from outer space.

Five years ago, in 2017, I started my journey on experimental sound using databending processes and synthesizers, in order to cope with some traumatic experiences through art. This is the first project I made but I never shared, until now. Let's celebrate this milestone: the 5th year anniversary of my sound project. For much more experimentation and new sounds to come.
